We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated QC/Tailor to join our team on a part-time basis, working one day per week, managing their own schedule to ensure smooth management of our faulty stock in the Distribution Centre (DC). This is a hybrid role, requiring a presence in the DC (located near Castleford) and the ability to work from home.

The Role

Reporting to the Technical Product Manager, you will be the key contact on the ground, collaborating with the Garment Tech, Technical Manager, Distribution Centre, and Logistics teams. Your primary objective is to manage the flow of faulty, audited, and fixable goods within our DC.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 • Quality Control & Classification: QC all faulty stock post-returns process, separating it into "True Faulty," "Fixable," and "Good" categories.

• Auditing and Reporting: Audit damaged stock and create detailed lists for the Damson Madder Technical team to outline issues, enabling us to charge faulty units back to the factories.

• Repair and Correction: Correct faulty stock where possible, including but not limited to reattaching buttons, poppers, and straps, and fixing broken seams and holes.

• Feedback: Report on all corrections and provide feedback to the Damson Madder Technical Team.

Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

• Sample machinist / Industry standard tailoring knowledge is essential.

• Minimum 3 years experience QC’ing product and making commercial decisions on its outcome.

• A strong knowledge of garment construction.

• Technical precision and commercial awareness.

• Good communication skills.

• Good knowledge of using either Google Drive spreadsheets / Excel.
