Washing
Washing
Denim loves to be worn, not washed. Washing less helps preserve the rich colour, as traditional denim is dyed on the surface of the fibres and naturally fades over time.
Aim to wear your jeans around three times between washes, freshening them between wears by airing them and spot cleaning when needed.
When it's time to wash, turn them inside out, fasten all zips and buttons, and use a cool cycle (maximum 30°C) to help protect the colour, minimise shrinkage, and maintain their shape.
Drying
Drying
Air dry your denim by line drying it away from direct sunlight. Avoid tumble drying, as high heat can cause shrinkage and unnecessary wear.
Storage
Storage
Store your denim in a cool, dry place by folding heavier styles or hanging them by the waistband to help maintain their shape.
Knitwear
Washing
Washing
Knit garments are soft, cosy staples that can last for years with the right care. Start by washing them properly: true knits should be hand-washed in cold water with a mild detergent, while machine-washable knits like your jersey tees can go on a gentle cycle with cool water. Always avoid bleach or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the fibres.
Drying
Drying
After washing, do not hang knits to dry, as this can stretch the fabric. Instead, lay garments flat on a towel or a mesh drying rack, and gently reshape them while they are still damp.
Pilling
Pilling
Small pills are a natural occurrence, especially in areas prone to rubbing. These can be removed gently with a fabric shaver or pill remover to restore a smooth surface.
Storage
Storage
To maintain shape and longevity, fold knits rather than hang them, and store them in a cool, dry place, avoiding overcrowding.
Outerwear
Washing
Washing
Always check the care label before cleaning your coat or jacket, as instructions can vary depending on the fabric, filling, and finish.
We recommend washing coats infrequently to help preserve the fabric, shape, and performance features.
Performance Coats & Jackets
Performance Coats & Jackets
Performance garments, including coats, jackets, and wadded puffers, can often be machine washed on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent.
Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and harsh chemicals, as these can affect technical fabrics and water-repellent finishes.
Reproofing isn’t needed after every wash, but if you notice water starting to absorb in rather than bead, it’s time to apply a suitable reproofing spray or wash-in treatment. Always follow the product instructions for best results.
Wool & Tailored Coats
Wool & Tailored Coats
Our wool and wool-blend coats are recommended for dry clean only.
Avoid washing unless the care label confirms it is suitable, as incorrect care can affect the fabric, structure, and finish of your coat.
Drying
Drying
Allow coats and jackets to air dry naturally wherever possible, away from direct heat.
For wadded and padded styles, a low heat tumble dry may be recommended to help restore loft and insulation but always follow the care label and avoid high heat.
Storage
Storage
Store coats and jackets in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Hang tailored coats and lightweight jackets on a good-quality hanger to help maintain their shape, and avoid compressing padded or wadded styles for long periods to preserve their loft and insulation.
Sheer & Delicate
Washing
Washing
Sheers, such as our core Lenzing organzas or cotton voiles, are lightweight and delicate.
To care for them, wash on a gentle cycle with cool water, or hand-wash with a mild detergent. Treat them gently, and avoid wringing or twisting, as this can affect their shape.
Drying
Drying
For best results, lay garments flat to dry. Hanging may stretch your sheers, keep away from direct heat or sunlight to keep their colours fresh and bright.
Ironing
Ironing
If you need to iron, try the touch method on a low setting. Avoid dragging the iron; instead, press gently to smooth out wrinkles without stressing the fibres.
Storage
Storage
Store garments with enough space to prevent overcrowding and keep them away from sharp objects that could snag the fabric.
Swimwear
Washing
Washing
Help keep your swimwear looking and performing its best by treating it with care. Gently hand wash in cool water using a mild detergent to protect the fabric shape, stretch and colour.
Rinse well after every wear, especially after swimming in chlorine or salt water. Avoid bleach and harsh detergents, as these can damage the fibres.
Drying
Drying
Avoid wringing or twisting your swimwear, as this can stretch the fabric and affect its fit. Instead, gently squeeze out excess water with a clean towel and lay flat to dry in the shade.
Keep away from tumble dryers and direct sunlight, which can weaken fibres and cause colours to fade.
Ironing
Ironing
Do not iron your swimwear. Heat can damage the elastic and affect the fit.
Storage
Storage
Make sure your swimwear is completely dry before storing it away. Fold and keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Avoid leaving damp swimwear in sealed bags for long periods.
Accessories
Washing

Many accessories are wipe clean only but some can be machine washed on a gentle 30°C cycle with a mild detergent and if you have a laundry bag, even better!

Store accessories in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Stains
Step 1: Before you add anything, remove the excess. With liquids, gently dab with tissue or kitchen roll. Don’t rub (rubbing = spreading)
Step 2: Always use cold water first, as hot water can set stains, and, where possible, rinse from the back of the stain.
